More than 90% of COVID – 19 patients in mainland China received effective TCM treatment
Clinical observations have shown that Chinese medicine has been proven to be effective in over 90% of all COVID – 19 cases diagnosed in mainland China. A total of 74,187 COVID 19 patients received TCM treatment, accounting for 91.5 percent of the total confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland, yu yanhong, head of the national administration of traditional Chinese medicine, said at a news conference in the capital, wuhan. The worst-hit province is hubei. In hubei, 90.6% of covid-19 patients have received TCM treatment. Yu said all TCM prescriptions can effectively relieve symptoms, slow the disease’s progress, improve cure rates, reduce mortality and promote recovery. More than 4,900 medical staff from traditional Chinese medicine hospitals and institutions across China were sent to hubei to fight the epidemic, accounting for about 13 percent of the total medical staff sent to the province. “The size and strength of the TCM aid team is unprecedented,” yu said. Yu said China has developed a unique “TCM program” that combines traditional Chinese medicine with western medicine and has found several effective herbs and prescriptions to treat the disease. “This epidemic has no borders,” he said. “this virus is a common enemy of mankind. China is willing to share its experience and effective treatment with the world.”
